Be the Eye of the Storm: A Workshop on Yoga Techniques for Stress and Anxiety
During this workshop we will look at the tools and techniques yoga has to offer to help with coping with the symptoms and effects of stress and anxiety. The workshop will consist of a discussion on self care/love, a gentle yoga practice, breathing and meditation techniques, relaxation, and more.

Yoga Techniques for Stress and Anxiety Workshop
In todays world, from the business of day to day life stresses, to the constant presence of screens and media, to friends and family, and everything else, it can be hard to find the time to focus on ourselves. Rarely does one get the opportunity to turn their attention from the outside world and focus it inward. Often this can result in a build up of stress and anxiety, as well as depression and other negative emotions. This workshop is specifically designed to offer you the chance to focus your attention inward - on yourself, to build a deeper relationship with yourself, thoughts, and emotions, and to develop a stronger sense of self love. During this workshop we will look at the tools and techniques yoga has to offer to help with coping with the symptoms and effects of stress and anxiety. The workshop will consist of a discussion on self care and self love, a gentle yoga practice with specific poses to release tension in places we bury emotions, gentle pranayama (breathing techniques), meditation techniques to calm the mind and body, and a very deep healing relaxation. This workshop should leave you feeling rested, relaxed, and recharged. In addition to the workshop, everyone will leave with handouts on certain breathing, meditation, yoga, and mindfulness techniques to bring home, as well as a very special gift. It is our hope you will leave this workshop with more tools to help combat stress, a personal self care plan, and feeling reconnected with one’s self.
