Dharma Mitra

"Yoga is the path of purification of character and conduct (the cleansing of one's physical and mental nature, wherein the highest state of reality and truth may shine undiminished in the hearts and minds of all beings." The universal principals of spiritual disciplines can elevate the seeker into eternal god communion.  This is the true goal of yoga." ~ Sri Dharma Mittra

COVID-19 UPDATE

Although the state has allowed partial openings of gyms and studios we feel that it is in the best interest on the behalf of the safety and health of our students to remain closed.  Due to the size and space of our studio it is very difficult to minimize the risk of contamination.   Because of this we are airing on the side of caution to keep our beloved sangha safe.  Please find our online classes on our Youtube Channel https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCi6I6vDr396qxpNOuEr7A3w as well as our Facebook page.  We have made all of our Live FB Videos continually available to watch.

We are aware these times are not easy on anyone, and it is our hope that these classes provide some peace and solace.  So, we hope you understand that these are tough times for yoga teachers and studios as well.  We will continue to offer all of our classes online for free in order for them to be accessible to all, however if you are able to, we would greatly appreciate any donation you would be willing to offer to DYVT.  You can Venmo us at mailto:dharmayogavermont@gmail.com or using the username Lyn-Sellars.

Dharma Yoga Vermont: A Mother Daughter Story

Since Lyn's daughter, Alyx, was eighteen years old it was a tradition for the two of them to spend their last meal after a visit to New York City, at the lovely, little, all vegan restaurant, Caravan of Dreams. On one particular evening, in the Spring of 2017, the two of them happened to be enjoying one of these fantastic dinners when they received a phone call that would change everything.

This dinner was a particularly special one. The Sellars women were celebrating Alyx's graduation from her first Life of a Yogi Teacher Training and had just received her 200hour yoga teacher certificate.  And it was also Mother's Day.
